ORNATE WOODEN BOARD WITH PEDIMENT. INSCRIPTION IN GOLD, BLACK AND RED LETTERING DIVIDED BETWEEN THREE CARVED PANELS. NAMES OF THE FALLEN ARE IN THE CENTRE SECTION OF THE INSCRIPTION AND THE NAMES OF THOSE WHO SERVED AND RETURNED ARE EITHER SIDE. RELIEF DESIGN OF GRAPES AND VINES EXTEND FROM THE VERTICAL SIDES OF THE BOARD AND ARE ON THE PEDIMENT. FOLIATE DESIGN IN BETWEEN EACH SECTION OF INSCRIPTION
