- Three-stepped base surmounted by a tapering pillar on which stands a robed female figure representing the Goddess of Fame, holding a wreath in her left hand & a staff in her right hand. On face of pillar is a bust of Lt. Col. Mobbs with a wreath behind his head. To the left, a relief panel depicts a Rugby match & to the right, a battlefield scene.
