- Description
- Two, associated wall mounted stone tablets set below the original figure of Christ from the village war memorial (WM Ref. 14807). The WW1 tablet has a winged cherub above and swag of flowers below the central panel bearing which bears the incised inscription. The smaller WW2 memorial is an eight-sided, moulded-edge tablet with incised inscription infilled in black. Adjacent to the tablets are a plaque giving details of the original figure of Christ from the village war memorial, and a framed and glazed article from the Rutland & Stamford News dated 11 October 1922 giving full details of the village war memorial.
