STONE OBELISK ON ISLAND AT JUNCTION OF ROADS. GRANITE OBELISK BEARS BRONZE WW2 PLAQUE ABOVE WHICH IS BRONZE RELIEF OF LAUREL WREATH. BENEATH OBELISK IS GRANITE PLINTH WHICH BEARS WW1 PLAQUE. WHOLE STANDS ON BASE OF TWO TIERS OF STONE.
