History

ALTHOUGH CONDITION IS GOOD, MEMORIAL HAS BEEN DISMANTLED INTO COMPONENT PARTS AND STORED IN THE BASEMENT OF THE MACCLESFIELD HERITAGE CENTRE (PARADISE MILL WORKING MUSEUM). MUSEUM IS REALLY CONCERNED WITH THE SILK INDUSTRY, SEE THE MEMORIAL AS IRRELEVANT TO THEIR COLLECTION AND WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT RE-HOUSED. HOWEVER, MEMORIAL IS TOO HUGE TO BE EASILY RE-MOUNTED.
