Description
An stone cross in front of the church entrance with names and inscription at its base (now faded and illegible) commemorating WWI casualties from the parish, a black marble plaque at the octagonal base of the cross with inscription in white lettering commemorating both WWI & WWII dead, and a Roll of Honour inside the church in memory of those from this parish who fell in WW1 & WW2.

[Inscription at the base of the cross:] IN LOVING MEMORY OF THOSE FROM THIS PARISH/WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR/1914-18/(NAMES)/ IN GLORIUS HOPE/THEIR PROUD AND SORROWING LAND/COMMTIS HER CHILDREN TO/THY GRACIUOS HAND. - [Inscription on the plaque:] IN MEMORY/ OF/ THOSE WHO DIED/ IN THE/ TWO WORLD WARS/ 1914-1918 and 1939-1945 - [Inscription on the Roll of Honour:] 1914-1918 • ROOL OF HONOUR • 1939-1945/ THE PARISH CHURCH OF ST MARY THE VIRGIN TWICKENHAM/ 1914-1918/ (NAMES in five columns)/ 1939-1945/ (NAMES in the bottom half of column 5 and the entire column 6)/ GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS - THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS.
