- Description
- In the north transept a carved marble wall panel of horizontal format carved with figures of a semi-naked rifleman and an angel mourning over a pair of tombstones. On the left a bald headed man with naked torso, wearing a pouch tied to his waist, leans over the top of a tomb. To the left of him is a rifle, shield and the head of a standard. On the right a female angel sits on the second tomb and at her feet is a lion, the eagle mast of a standard under its paw. In the centre the two identical tombstones are carved with garlands with ram's head terminals and, in the centre, a standard which is being held by the two figures. The memorial inscription is on the podium beneath the tombstones.
