1997: PLANS BY THE COUNCIL TO LIFT THE HEADSTONE AND REMOVE THE IVY WHICH IS GROWING THROUGH IT. AT THE SAME TIME THE TANGS WILL BE REPLACED WITH STAINLESS STEEL ONES
