Description
Two marble panels with nowy-heads and one rectangular marble at the bottom, both mounted into wall. Cross in relief in between panels and each panels has a gilded laurel wreath at the top middle. Carved names on panels with black lettering. Those killed marked with gold cross. The bottom tablet contains a carved inscription. A small brass plaque is underneath.

[lower panel]: THE ROLL OF HONOUR / of the men of LONG BURTON who fought for / thier KING their COUNTRY and the / LIBERTY of NATIONS in the GREAT WAR / of 1914 to 1918 / This memorial was erected by / George Hamilton Fletcher Esqre of Leweston Manor. 1918. [brass plaque]: THIS MEMORIAL WAS DEDICATED ON EASTER SUNDAY 1919 BY THE REV. CANON C.H.MAYO MA (VICAR OF THIS PARISH FROM 1882 TO 1912) ASSISTED BY THE REVD.R.COOPER BD. THE PRESENT VICAR.
