Description
Brass Plaque on oak pattress. The plaque has an elaborate border. At the top it has leaves and ribbons with place names of battles along it- Africa, Italy, Dardanelles, France, Belgium, Salonica, Russia and India with, at centre, a cartouche containing the words "Faithful unto death" sunk in carving and enamelled red. Down the sides the raised pattern has at each halfway point a laurel wreath with a staff wrapped in leaves in a red background. At centre bottom is a cartouche containing the dates with red lion and crown between the dates. On the main panel the names are in two columns in Roman capitals with red pattern insert.
