Royal Visits to RAF Duxford

Princess Elizabeth in Wartime

Key Stage 4 Special Sessions

IWM Duxford is located at a historic fighter station and houses many of the larger exhibits in IWM’s collection, including aircraft, land vehicles and maritime craft.

Special events for primary and secondary children are offered throughout the year. These events are either linked to the history curriculum and IWM's remit, or to Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) and our collections at IWM Duxford.

In addition to special events we offer a daily programme to support National Curriculum Programmes of Study for Literacy, Numeracy, History, Design, Technology, Engineering, Art, Science, R.E, PSHE and Citizenship at all key stages. We also explore broader topics such as 'Flight' and ‘Transport’.

Choose from stimulating hands-on workshops, illustrated talks, tours and role-play scenarios.
