We will send correspondence including your provisional booking to this contact. Please add us to your ‘safe senders’ list to ensure you receive emails and attachments from us.

IWM would like to keep in touch, updating you by email on news and activities that may be of interest.

When would you like to visit

Museum opening hours: 10:00-17:00 (on occasions the Museum may close early, but we will let you know of any opening hour changes)

Arrival and departure

Groups must enter the Group Entrance where a bag store facility is available unless otherwise stated on the booking letter. If you are able to arrive later and depart later in the day you may have more success in booking your preferred date and session. The 10.00 arrival time is allocated to groups booking a Learning from Artefacts session. If your preferred arrival time is unavailable we will allocate the next available space. If it is significantly different we will contact you.

Who will be visiting

Ratio of adults to children

Admission to the museum is free - including to Special Exhibitions. We ask for a minimum of 1 adult to every 10 students for primary schools and 1 adult to every 15 students of secondary level and above.
If the students will be dressing up on the day of the visit eg as evacuees please tell us. This will help us to identify your group on the day

The Green Room

For groups booking the minimum of a welcome. Bookings are allocated on a first come, first served basis. The area accommodates 80. We are not able to offer sole occupancy for groups of less than 80. We will allocate a 30 minute time slot that fits in with your visit.

AirShard Viewing Platform

Your group will be eligible for free passes to the Museum’s viewing platform as part of your booking. Passes can be collected from the admissions desk on the day of the visit. Usual charges £1.20 or 60p concessions per person.

Coach Parking

This will be free as part of your pre-booking. Unfortunately we are unable to offer free parking for any individual vehicles. Usual charges - £4 for cars - £15 minibus/coach.

Billing Information

Please note our cancellation terms in the Terms and Conditions page. All cancellations must be made in writing by email to learningnorth@iwm.org.uk with the word CANCELLATION in the subject line. We will invoice you after the visit is complete for any charged activities.
The Imperial War Museum/Imperial War Museum Trading Company Ltd will store the data you supply securely and use it for the purpose of arranging your visit.
If you would like to print a copy of your request for your records please do so before submitting the form. Please ensure you press ‘submit form’ afterwards to send your request to us and make a note of the date and time to help us trace any queries.
