Air Shard

20-24 September

We will be installing the work of nine renowned artists for the Asia Triennial Manchester 2014, which is being hosted by IWM North and opens to the public on Saturday 27 September running until Sunday 23 November.

Please be aware that from Saturday 20 September to Wednesday 24 September there is a major new installation for this exhibition taking place in the AirShard, which means access to the AirShard will be restricted.

Dare you climb the AirShard? The jagged shape of the IWM North viewing platform is one of the most iconic features of the Manchester skyline; this is your chance to scale the inside.

Climb the 180 steps or take the lift that rises at an angle. Stand almost 100 feet in the air, looking down through the mesh gangway under your feet, to the anti-aircraft searchlight pointing up at you from the ground below.

For those brave enough to make the journey, sneak a peek into the construction site of the new Coronation Street and experience spectacular views of MediaCity:UK, The Quays and Manchester.

A small charge applies.
