Autumn Air Show

Sun 13 October 2013

At this year’s Autumn Air Show, we are celebrating 40 years of air shows at IWM Duxford.

We’ll be throwing the spotlight on the historic aeroplanes that are operated by flying partners based at the museum, with displays by some of the iconic aircraft that call IWM Duxford home.

The Autumn Air Show will also feature some of the aircraft types that flew at that very first air show back in October 1973, such as the Hawker Sea Fury, de Havilland Dragon Rapide, Gloster Gladiator, Hawker Hurricane, Hawker Hunter, Fairey Swordfish, English Electric Canberra and numerous Spitfires.

For details of the aircraft taking part, take a look at the flying participation list.

All flying is subject to weather, serviceability and operational commitments.

There’ll be fun activities across the museum to enjoy throughout the day. Join us for a celebration of 40 years of IWM Duxford’s fantastic flying displays, which continue to excite visitors from across the world today.

IWM Duxford will be open from 8am to 6pm. The flying display will start at approximately 1.30pm and finish at approximately 4.30pm, leaving plenty of time in the morning to explore the whole of the museum, take part in activities across the site and soak up the atmosphere provided by trade stands.
