Our 2015 air show commemorates the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The flying display will tell the story of RAF Duxford's pivotal role in this historic WW2 aerial battle.
Watch Spitfires flying in formation
Experience the spectacle of up to 20 Spitfires taking off from our historic airfield, flying in mass formation as they did in the Battle of Britain.
Feel the tension as we recreate a squadron scramble, with pilots running towards their waiting aircraft, and then witness a Spitfire and Hurricane swooping in to chase off the enemy aircraft.
Experience the whole of IWM Duxford
Throughout the day, hear the sounds and see the sights of wartime Britain. Hear classic music from the 1940s. Take a walk along the flightline and get up close to the historic aircraft before they take off.
During the day you can visit our Battle of Britain exhibition, the home of the Duxford's Spitfires. See the uniform of the flying ace Douglas Bader in the Historic Duxford exhibition and step back in time to the 1940s Operations Room, the nerve centre of Duxford's Battle of Britain.
Buses run from Cambridge Railway Station, Trumpington Park & Ride and Royston Railway Station to IWM Duxford on air show days. Please do not travel unless you have already booked your ticket - they aren't for sale on the gate.
