Contemporary Conflicts Programme
This is IWM's project to collect and tell the stories of contemporary conflict. We want to build a collection to reflect your experiences of these conflicts which we will use in our research, publications and displays to tell your story both now and in the future.
You are living history
Since the First World War, IWM has collected material to tell the story of war and conflict. Help us tell yours.
If you are or were involved in:
- Operation Herrick
- Operation Resolute Support
- Operation Gritrock
- Operation Shader
We are asking you to share your experiences through everyday items you used on deployment that will help us tell your story.
We are looking for:
- Letters and emails
- Kit and equipment
- Diaries and journals
Material collected by the project will join IWM’s permanent collection and be used now and in the future for:
- Research and information
- Exhibitions and displays
- Museum publications including learning resources for schools
- Digital and online content
Register now and you will be able to upload digital photos, videos and emails and suggest donations directly to the museum.
If you have any questions or would like more information about the project please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
