Horrible Histories: Spies

IWM London Commercial Filming and Photography

IWM London is a location for commercial filming and photography opportunities unlike any other. Beyond the striking Georgian architecture of the front façade lies a wealth of filming opportunities.

Our rich and extensive collection of exhibits housed in accessible, spacious galleries provides the perfect backdrop for projects requiring an historical focus. Behind the scenes lie unique and unusual filming spaces ranging from underground passages to book stacks, from archive rooms to a traditional domed reading room, originally a chapel.

To arrange a recce or discuss your requirements in more detail please contact the Events team on +44 (0)207 091 3140 or filming@iwm.org.uk.

There is secure off-street parking facilities for production vehicles, with convenient access to the building’s spaces.

From July 2013 IWM London will only be partially open to make way for our Transforming IWM London project. If you do wish to film in the Museum from this date please contact us to discuss the spaces which are available.

When IWM London fully reopens in summer 2014, we will launch our brand new First World War Galleries and central hall to mark the 100-year anniversary of the start of the First World War.
