IWM London is located in zone one and is within walking distance of London’s South Bank, as well as being close to both Westminster and the city.

The Imperial War Museums were founded in 1917 in order to ensure future generations understood the causes, and most importantly, the consequences of the First World War; its remit has been extended over the years to cover subsequent conflicts.

New exciting evening event spaces, created by Foster and Partners, will launch in summer 2014 to mark the centenary of the First World War.  A dramatic new Atrium, perfect for seated dinners and receptions, and a breath-taking suspended gallery in the rooftop will provide a unique space for a variety of events, including breakfasts, receptions, presentations and dinners.

Note: until July 2014, evening events at the museum will be limited.
