IWM Duxford Motor Events

IWM Duxford is proud of its strong links with the motor industry and is an excellent venue for car and motorbike club visits as well as motor launches and ride and drive events.

From social meetings to large-scale events, IWM Duxford can offer an exciting and enjoyable day out. Over 100 exhibits are displayed inside seven hangars, and as a living museum there is always activity on-site, from repairs and maintenance to the sight of one of the many flying aeroplanes based here.

Situated next to Junction 10 on the M11, we are easily accessible from most parts of the country.

Ride and Drive Events

Easy access for off-site test drives is complimented by our on site demonstration driving facilities. These include our 1.5 km runway, 8,000 sqm of secure tarmac, suitable for lower speed demonstrations and our tank-riding arena which is perfect for off-road driving.

As an FIA registered venue, we are also pleased to offer a straight line testing facility for Formula One and other motorsport classes.

Car Club Events

Car and Motorbike Clubs can hold private events at IWM Duxford. If you book a club event at IWM Duxford you will receive the following benefits:

• Discounted admission price for club members (a minimum number of display cars is applicable). This fee will include access to the museum and the use of all its public facilities.
• Allocated parking space within the museum.
• Your event details on our website.

Please note that these benefits apply to non-IWM Duxford event days.

There is also a selection of IWM Duxford event days you are welcome to attend:

• Spring Car Show, 6 May 2012
• Spitfires, Merlins and Motors, 5 August 2012
• American Air Day, date TBC

Clubs will receive a discounted admission price for IWM Duxford event days. This includes access to the museum, and an exclusive club area if you pre-book. Special criteria may apply for some of IWM Duxford events.
