IWM Duxford Commercial Filming and Photography

IWM Duxford’s buildings and exhibits make an excellent location setting for a range of productions, including documentaries, interviews, fashion and car shoots, and television dramas.

Being the best-preserved Battle of Britain airfield in Britain, we not only have a range of 1930s and 1940s buildings, but also house a variety of static and airworthy aircraft, as well as a large collection of military vehicles - some of which are in running condition. We are also home to the American Air Museum, an outstanding example of contemporary British architecture by Foster and Partners.

Available spaces for filming/photography also include the Officers' Mess, a cinema, control tower, the Operations Room, our Belfast hangars and a tank arena. We are a flexible venue and we will endeavour to accommodate your project.

We have hosted productions such as the Hollywood blockbuster film Memphis Belle; music video shoots for acts such as Travis, Fat Boy Slim and Busted; Channel 4’s Spitfire Ace & Bomber Crew; ITV’s Foyles War; and the BBC’s Top Gear, Silent Witness and Who Do You Think You Are?
