    The Armistice: A band playing to cheerful crowds during a parade in the main street in Winchester on Armistice Day. It had been arranged that the hostilities should cease at 11.00 am and the street clock stands at 11.40 am.

    Union flag acquired by Maud Andrews (née Wisden) during the Armistice Day (11 November 1918) celebrations in London. Mrs Maud A M Andrews served in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (as Controller of Recruiting) during the First World War.
