    Egyptian civilians survey the burnt out ruins of a shanty town in Port Said. Buildings in this area were totally destroyed by anti-tank gun fire when British forces engaged Egyptian machine gun and infantry positions in the locality.

    A 32 barrelled Russian rocket launcher used by Egyptian forces against the 3rd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, during the assault on El Gamil airfield. The launcher was knocked out by strike aircraft of the Royal Navy.
