Recollection of operations as engineer aboard Free French submarine chasers Q 10 and Q12 in English Channel, 1940-1944: joining Q10 Bayonne at Portsmouth, 10/1940; duties on board ship, 1940-1942; role of ship during Dieppe raid, 8/1942; basing of ship at Cowes; German Air Force raid on Cowes, 5/5/1942; transfer to Q 12 Benodet, 4/1943; role of Q12 on D-Day 6/6/1944; basing in Brest, early 1945.
