REEL 2 Continues: failure of plan to sink Scharnhorst. Recollections of commanding MTB 74 during 'Operation Chariot' raid on St Nazaire, 1942: plan; attempted escape from Loire; sinking of ship; capture and treatment by Germans. Recollections of period as POW at Marlag und Milag Nord and Oflag IV C, Colditz in Germany, 1942-1944: reason sent to Colditz; successful scheme to get repatriated, 1944; subsequent return to Marlag, 1945.
