Object description
image: the back view of a pilot from the rear cockpit of a BE2C biplane in flight over the River Euphrates. The struts and wires of the wing construction surround the pilot, who is looking down and to his left. The course of the River Euphrates lies below. To the right of the watercolour sketch is a detailed study of the course of the river near the town of Hit, with annotated colour notes.
