Object description

image: a patient lies in the lower bunk in a sick bay on the aircraft carrier HMS Pursuer, reading with his back to the artist. Above him the upper bunk is partially put away, hanging at an angle from two chains on the wall. In the centre of the room a man in naval uniform stands next to an empty bed examining some forms. Two other men wearing aprons stand in the background conferring, near a fridge and a medicine cabinet.
