British No 230 Mark II fuze (Sectioned), manufactured in 1937. The No 230 percussion (direct action) fuze was introduced in 1930 for Naval service. It was similar to the No 117 but had a shorter intrusion and was used over a gaine. The No 230 ran to ten 'Marks' and was declared obsolete in 1959.
