Physical description

Waterbottle & cover Metal waterbottle, probably of British origin, complete with cork and canvas web 'bucket' cover. The cover is grazed by a shrapnel strike.

History note

This waterbottle was carried during the Cyprus Emergency by EOKA terrorist leader, Kyriakos Christoforou Matsis, who was killed on a raid at the village of Kato Dhikamo, near Nicosia, 19 November 1958. The bottle was damaged by a grenade fragment.
