[Liberty-Equality-Fraternity French Republic Liberty-Equality-Fraternity. Town of Joinville-le-Pont. War Loan. Appeal to the inhabitants of
Joinville! Parliament has just passed a law authorising the issue of a new National Defence Loan. It is as well to point out to you what
the success of this financial operation involves. Pay no heed to those who dispute France's credit worthiness or the usefulness of military
expenditure to try and make it fail. Those people are unknowingly - or not - playing into the hands of the Boche! Think of our brave
'Poilus', and be fully aware that lending your money to France means helping them. It's a path leading to certain Victory. Special posters
have made you aware of the benefits you are likely to derive from this new loan. So don't hesitate. The Nation, Parliament, the Town and
the Town Council expect you to make this demonstration in support of our Country. People of Joinville! You will all answer the Government's
call. Don't forget, for France, it is a question of winning a victory as important as that achieved by arms. It is up to you to make it a
