Object description
Squadron Leader The Reverand Hugh Storr conducts Sunday service before a congregation of fighter pilots in a dispersal hut at Tangmere, 10 January 1944. The 29 year-old padre was renowned for his boxing prowess, having previously represented Oxford University as a light-heavyweight. He joined the RAF in the summer of 1943, and soon set about organising - and participating in - a series of inter-station tournaments.
