Object description

A meeting (or Shura) between the Commander of the Helmand Task Force, Colonel Charles Knaggs, Mr Nick Kay (Foreign and Commonwealth Office representative with the Provincial Reconstruction Team), and village elders and tribal chiefs at the police station in the town of Musa Qual’eh (or Musa Qala). The meeting was called to discuss the local community’s security concerns and plans following an attack by the Taliban. Musa Qual’eh was the location of sustained heavy fighting between British and Taliban forces throughout the summer of 2006.
