Object description
Mr I B Nkonde from Isoka in Northern Rhodesia, listens to a record during a linguistics lesson at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), as his tutor points an item of note. According to the original caption, Mr Nkonde was educated at Isoka Elementary School, Lubwa Primary School and won a scholarship to Adams College, Natal. He has been a pupil teacher trainer in Northern Rhodesia.
