Object description

Crowds line the route as fire engines of the National Fire Service (NFS) make their way towards the Saluting Base in the Mall, as part of the Victory Parade. These vehicles represent the contribution of the Civil Defence services to the war effort. In the background, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge can be clearly seen.
