Object description
Girls take part in a cookery lesson in the kitchen of their Classifying School, somewhere in Britain. According to the original caption, "when the girls have finished their period of schooling, they can choose between lessons in cookery, laundry or housework. After they have done a week's work at one of these they can, if they want to, give notice and switch over to one of the other two courses". The instructor can be seen second from left.
