Object description

A member of staff at Henry Poole and Co. examines fabrics in the showroom on Savile Row. Behind him can be seen a large cabinet in which are displayed various swords and several military dress uniforms. The original caption explains that although the range of materials available is very limited, "some prewar stuffs are still in stock and British manufacturers continue to turn out a limited amount of fine worsteds and tweeds".
