A Land Girl feeds a cow at a dairy farm somewhere in Norfolk. The original caption states that each cow is "fed with a measured quantity of concentrated food consisting of a mixture of cereals and high protein cake". Each cow is fed in proportion to the amount of milk it produces, so the food is weighed carefully before it is given to the animals.
