Master Sergeant Edward White (of 991 S.San Antonio Street, Pomona, California) examines a horseshoe given to him by blacksmith R Burton in the blacksmith's workshop in Burton Bradstock, Dorset. Sgt White and his colleagues Sergeant R J Baier (of 125 Park Avenue, Canandaigna, New York) and Corporal David Roberts (of RR4 Albia, Iowa), accompanied by several local boys, have "come to beg horseshoes for a game at the camp".
