Object description

A British Army Sergeant waits beside a mother and baby on a station platform, somewhere between London and Scotland. Behind them, a Nestle chocolate machine can be seen, providing snacks for the journey (chocolate is 1d per tablet) and to the right of the photograph, a large poster encourages men to "Keep your hair shipshape - Brylcreem your hair".
