Object description
A busy scene in London's Leicester Square. An American soldier escorts two women past men resting on benches and a group of people chatting in the centre of the Square. The trio are heading towards the Odeon Cinema, which is currently showing 'The Phantom of the Opera', starring Nelson Eddy, Susanna Foster and Claude Rains. Also visible in the background are a newsagent's shop selling 'Picture Post' and an advertisement for a National Symphony Orchestra Concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
