19 year old George Metcalfe and his girlfriend, 20 year old Mabel Warren (just left of centre, the second couple from the right), enjoy a dance at a Tuesday evening social put on by the West Norwood Squadron of the ATC. The entrance fee is 6d and forces in uniform can attend for 3d. Any profits made go to the Sports Fund. Mabel is an inspector at the factory where George works. The musicians, including a pianist and a violinist, can be seen on the right of the photograph.
