Object description
British associate members of the Londra Turk Halkevi read copies of the Turkish magazine 'Cephe' to help their study of the language. Left to right they are: Mr J P Hardy, Miss Nora Bagguley, Miss K Griffin and Miss Blundell. Most are learning Turkish for business reasons. Behind them on the wall is an old Imperial Decree written in ancient Arabic script. It was presented to the Halkevi by Sultan Mahmut.
