Object description
20 year old Mrs Ann Donovan fastens the buttons on her son Michael's coat as she collects him from the garden of the nursery. Michael is 16 months old. Mrs Donovan has just completed a day's work in a munitions factory. Behind them another mother can be seen collecting her daughter in a pram, and a nurse carries another child to a different part of the garden.
