Object description

Members of the 'heavy rescue' party lower a stretchered casualty down a ladder from the upstairs window of this house on Edith Villas. Other Civil Defence workers look on as the casualty is guided downwards. The ladder stands on a large pile of rubble and debris, and blast damage can be seen on the walls of the building.
