Miss Eleanor Hedley helps a soldier of a Scottish regiment and Miss Vivian Thomas helps a sailor as they are transferred from one hospital to another, somewhere in the North East of England. The soldier is wearing a sling and the sailor has a bandaged hand and is using a walking stick.
