Object description

A group of four smiling girls examine some pieces of metal in the playground of Calvert Road School in South East London. This debris appears to be fragments of a bomb, or of a metal structure damaged or destroyed by an air raid. One girl (second from the right) is wearing a Girl Guide badge, and all are carrying gas masks.
