Female factory workers, including Florence Simpson, Winifred Bennett and her sister Dolly, practice some ballet moves at the end of their shift in the canteen of the aircraft factory in which they work, somewhere in Britain. They are using the bars which separate the queues of diners as their barre. Above their heads, the signs for hot and cold sweets, entrees and other foods, can be clearly seen. To the right of the photograph, several other women sit and watch the dancers as they relax after their meal.
