Object description
Villagers, including a large group of children, stand in the aisle of the makeshift cinema in the Memorial Hall, Tomintoul, to find their seats before the Ministry of Information film begins. According to the original caption "this is a big social event in the eventless and remote little mountain village. Nobody wants to miss it, certainly not the children".
