Object description
A scene on the set of the Two Cities Film Company film 'Unpublished Story', at Denham Studios, showing how the effects are obtained. The film is directed by Harold French and stars Richard Greene and Valerie Hobson. It is set during the Blitz on the London docks in 1940. In the centre of the photograph, actress Valerie Hobson makes a telephone call. To the right of the photograph (in the background of the camera shot), can be seen a pile of rubble and smoke and flames, which are being supplied by a property man. The camera, lighting and sound boom are also visible.
