An armourer works on an RAF Jaguar GR1 at Muharraq, Bahrain. Jaguars from RAF Coltishall were among the first British forces deployed to the Gulf, departing on 11 August 1990. Based initially at Thumthrait, Oman, the Coltishall Jaguar Detachment moved to Muharraq in October 1990. 618 sorties were flown from 17 January 1991. The last aircraft returned home on 13 March 1991.
