The Greek Prime Minister M Papandreou, made a speech which was broadcast to the whole country and afterwards laid a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Allied vehicles passing through the crowded streets on the day the new Government, led by Prime Minister M Papandreou, entered the city.
